monster high Candance Mann by rainbow1977 monster high Candance Mann by rainbow1977
This is Candance Mann, daughter of Candyman... she's nowhere near as creepy as her dad.

I was originally making a daughter of the Cotton Candy monster (from Scooby Doo 2) and I had a buyer, but it fell through. So I altered her and changed her parent.

She's super cute and one of my all time favorites!

doll is available for sale on etsy

I like the yarn hair, it's a really interesting touch, and it looks better than I most would think.

Hi again - am attempting at rerooting a Toralei and Operetta, and when I removed Operetta's head, I discovered the horror of all horrors...The ENTIRE inside of her head was COATED in glue. The little plugs are a PAIN to get out....
At least Toralei doesn't have a buttload of glue up in her brain :)

Most of them have a crud load of glue. I've been scraping it out slowly and painfully. A friend recommended boiling some water and then dunking the head in the water to loosen the glue. It works great though I've still had a few fight me.

That's what Operetta's like. Toralei is fine, but Operetta is a disaster zone :)

I've tried 2 different ways. Once the hair is removed, you can either sew it in with a 3" darning needle. To keep the hair in the head, you tie a knot in the hair that will be in the head. This is easy but takes a long time. The other way is to use a re-root tool. I bought mine on ebay. It has a forked needle that you put the hair in and punch it into the head. To keep the hair in you glue the inside of the head. I use Fabric Tac glue that I found at Walmart. This is easy and quick. There are lots of tutorials on youtube that can show you both methods. I buy hair from restoredoll.com and dollyhair.com. Hope that helps! Good luck!

dollyhair.com sells them. I don't have one, but I know people who do and they like them. You can always try to make one. Take a then needle and use wire cutters to cut the tip off. Jam the pointed end into a pencil. It's rough but it'll work.

How much do you charge to custom a doll

:iconrainbow1977:
rainbow1977 Featured By Owner Dec 22, 2011
I don't do commissions since I can't sew. The only thing I offer is re-roots and repaints. If you supply the doll it's $40 plus shipping. If I provide the doll it's $55 plus shipping.
